Still here!!

I'm still alive! Promise!

Ever since I started uploading pictures to Facebook (which is much more efficient!) I've been slacking on the blog a bit..I apologize to all the non-Facebook users who want to hear about Japan!

Here is the link to the latest album I posted:

These pictures are a combination of last Friday's events - a morning in Yokohama, a surprise birthday party for the country visual, and a commercial festival in Shinjuku!

The weather has been very icky and rainy but tonight, there is a dance party in Tokyo that is much needed. Work is crazy busy - dancing helps the stress!!

Oh, and as always - I'll end on a food note (like a foot note, but tastier!)

My first taste of traditional Japanese sweets!
(I forget the names of all of them but they were like nothing I've ever tasted!)

Hinata, the *Porcupine Piñata!

Meet Hinata!! I saw him in Kiddyland and had to have him.

*He's really more of a hedgehog but not much rhymes with hedgehog >__<

I've mostly taken pictures of him with food...he looks like he's hugging everything, I love it.

I posted a ton of photos on Facebook from this past weekend!:

On Sunday we went back to Harajuku, this time to visit the Yo Yogi Park..Linda's biggest wish has been to see the rockabillies who dance habitually every weekend. I have no idea how long they dance for, or how often even, but their shoes were duct taped together!

We met up with another girl from work who took us to a bunch of amazing places, including a vintage store and a Thai food restaurant - yum.

I feel so comfortable here in Japan..the transition (all language barriers aside) has been so easy! I do miss home terribly but there is so much here I have yet to see...looking forward to my day off on Friday! <33

GETRICHQUICKGETRICHQUICK

I found this sweatshirt at a thrift store today...took me a few seconds to figure out what it said! Is it just me or if you look at it fast enough you see the word 'cricket'? Maybe it's just me.

Walking around Omotesando today was amazing! I went to a bunch of little stores and Kiddyland - the best toy store on the planet. It was cute overload! Also, I was asked to be a part of a feature on watches for a street style web site called Fashion Snap!! So flattering :-D I think it will come out around mid-November.

Everyday that I'm here I find myself so inspired. As fashionable as New Yorkers are, it seems to me that everyone here is fashionable in their own way. The attention paid to detail is absolutely captivating!

'Mysterious Beige' suits you!

I love that even a trip to the drugstore here can result in an endless array of photos...

I've decided to post pictures on Facebook if I take a bunch in one night...not all of them are loading on here because of the high resolution! Lame.

I know not everyone has Facebook, so here is the public link to the pictures!:

Dressy, After Hours

Tomorrow is Omotesando!!! I've been looking forward to this..I plan on doing a lot of people watching and boutique hunting. Ready, set, GO!

Tokyo! Take 2!

Pie for breakfast!? Ok!

Tokyo, take one!!

Every day should start off with a mushroom & bacon cream pie with onion straws and coleslaw, no?
